What happens after the book of Deuteronomy ends? In Parashat Hashavua class, we usually start over again with Bereshit. But what happens after the Israelites cross over the Jordan?
Join our learning sessions, led by Baruch Kraus, on the books of Joshua, Judges, Samuel, and Kings, on Zoom, where we will be discussing these books from a literary, narrative, and historical (where appropriate) approach. We will be looking at the literary motifs and themes that are threaded throughout these books. Some of the themes will include the building of the nation-state of Israel, and the development of political judicial, ritual and religious leadership.
The sessions will take place on alternative Monday evenings at 19:30.
The first session will take place on March 17, and then we will decide together on future dates and if we want to make any changes.
