DESCRIPTION:What happens after the book of Deuteronomy ends? In Parashat Ha
 shavua class\, we usually start over again with Bereshit. But what happens
  after the Israelites cross over the Jordan?\n Join our learning sessions
 \, led by Baruch Kraus\, on the books of Joshua\, Judges\, Samuel\, and Ki
 ngs\, on Zoom\, where we will be discussing these books from a literary\, 
 narrative\, and historical (where appropriate) approach. We will be lookin
 g at the literary motifs and themes that are threaded throughout these boo
 ks. Some of the themes will include the building of the nation-state of Is
 rael\, and the development of political judicial\, ritual and religious le
 adership.\nThe sessions will take place on Monday evenings at 19:30. The c
 lass will meet weekly in January and February\, and then on alternating we
